The duck, sheep and pot belly pig were a few of the animals living at Carroll Organics Farm and Sanctuary These animals have found their forever home! The pony was spotted in among some sheep at another country farm. I'm still deciding how to frame these.
I painted this from a photo I took of 'Maman' Louise Bourgeois' sculpture which she made to honour her mother. It has 26 white marble eggs in its underbelly and is 9.25 meters tall. It stands at the entrance to the National Gallery in Ottawa. More info

I worked with a limited palette on this one - not my usual cheerful colours - but I did add in some small amounts of green and blue for the promise of hope!
